Scalp MP After Hair Transplantation
Is a hair transplant really the solution to your problem with hair loss?
Hair transplants have long been seen as the only treatment option for patients suffering from severe hair loss. Transplantation, however, is an operation that, like all surgical procedures, involves certain risks. More and more patients do not want to be exposed to the risks of an operation anymore and decide for a micropigmentation – the treatment method par excellence when it comes to making hair loss invisible and thus to create a healthy self-awareness.
We often see patients who are dissatisfied with the outcome of their hair transplant. They complain about scars caused by the transplant or complain about the fact that their hair looks very thin and lacks volume. Micropigmentation can help in both cases.
In micropigmentation, we create a three-dimensional and healthy-looking scalp, which looks as if hair grows naturally. Using very fine needles, we inject color pigments into the scalp. These prevent the scalp from appearing under the transplanted hair. This results in visibly a much fuller hair appearance.
If, after a hair transplant, you hope to achieve a more attractive appearance by means of micropigmentation, we cordially invite you to a personal consultation. During this conversation, we will tell you whether you should wear your hair from our point of view, and we will use a pigmented scalp to make your hair look fuller or to recommend the shave effect. With this innovative method, we create an effect on the scalp, which acts as if you had shaved your full, natural hair straight. When you completely shave your hair, we have the chance to completely cover your scars and redefine your look from scratch.
How is hair transplant performed?
Only the few patients who want a hair transplant have a clear idea of what they expect on the operating table. A hair transplant is a complex procedure requiring a high level of experience and expertise. The surgery is not just about transplanting the hair. Above all, a successful transplantation of the hair follicles is important. The aim of the operation is to transplant follicles to the areas affected by hair loss, from which new hairs grow later. Unfortunately, there is neither a success guarantee nor is the treatment without risks.
During the operation, the surgeon removes small pieces of skin, including hair and follicles, at the back of the head. These are sewn in small parts at the areas affected by hair loss, after small holes have been punched into the scalp. The procedure is painful and takes several hours. Whether it was really successful is clear after several months. After about three to six months, the first hair should grow at the transplant sites.
A new but not very widely used method of hair transplantation works with very small areas, which contain only a few hair follicles. The transplantation must be carried out extremely precisely, but is much more promising than the transplantation of larger parts.
In addition to the non-guaranteed success and side effects, hair transplants cost a lot of money. If you want to take the time to decide whether a hair transplant can really be a solution for you, we recommend scalp micropigmentation. With the new look that you will have thanks to this treatment after one to three sessions, you also regain your self-confidence. If the pressure of suffering slows down and if it gives way to a positive feeling for life, the desire for a hair transplant often disappears completely by itself.
The risks of a hair transplant
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure and therefore not safe. It carries the following specific risks:
– Scarring: The likelihood of scars becoming visible is high after the transplant. The size, position and color of these scars cannot be overlooked before surgery.
– No success is guaranteed: Whether the transplanted follicles at the new site actually grow new hair is not guaranteed. We have seen many cases in our institute where the transplant did not work. The scars still occur.
– There is not enough hair: If you do not have enough hair, the hair will not grow so tightly that it looks full at the transplant sites. In this case, micropigmentation helps to perfect the result at least optically.
If you opt for a hair transplant and you want to make the result esthetically pleasing by means of micropigmentation, we strongly recommend that you plan the two procedures from the beginning. We are happy to work in close cooperation with your surgeon. Until your hair has grown after a successful transplant in the desired density, up to 12 months may pass. Use micropigmentation during this time and enjoy a healthy self-confidence immediately after your surgery, which results from your good appearance.
Scars, moles or burns? Micropigmentation conceals what you want to hide!
Did you have an accident in the past or did you have an injury that left unsightly scars on your scalp? Do you have a birthmark on your head you would like to let go of? Or have you ever suffered a burn that left traces on your scalp?
In the face or body, you can hide some unloved place relatively easily under a layer of makeup. Unfortunately, this does not work on the scalp. On scar tissue, moles and burns, hair growth is usually impaired. Micropigmentation is the solution: in only a few sessions, we inject special color pigments directly into the scalp. The color pigments resemble your natural skin color and light the damaged tissue visibly. In most cases, scars and other marks are completely invisible after the first treatment. The result is so natural that you will most likely have trouble locating the site where the scar was once seen.
If you are planning to have a hair transplant, micropigmentation is ideal to bridge the waiting time for surgery. You may already feel so comfortable with your new look that you want to spare your body the hardships of an operation. Even after a transplant, this treatment is ideal for overlapping scars, changing the hairline or making thin areas appear fuller.
